About Me

I lived on the island of Hawaii, back then it was called the Big Island. In Dec. 2018 I moved to Florida with my daughter and her family and my oldest son came up soon afterwards. I started sewing when I was 13 years old when my grandmother, my mothers mother sent me to a  professional dressmaking school. Infact it was a drafting school where you learned to make your own patterns which they call now flat pattern making, they also teached us to use commercial patterns. But of course at that age I was to playfull. So I ended up just using commercial patterns. After taking those classes I made my grandmother clothes to wear to church she was so proud and so was I. When I got married I sewed for myself and my children. Mostly for my daughter, especially for events that they had in school.

 

My choice of  wanting to go back into the work force, created a new career change, and my focus was dedicated to it. Sadly, I put my sewing passion on the back burner. My dream was to always sew a bridal gown, I had a chance at it when my daughter got married, but because I had a full time job, creating a bridal gown would take a lot of time because of the intricate details that it would need. Being a special apparel for a memorable occasion, I didn’t want to ruin her dreams if I couldn’t finish it.

 

But now I'm ready and excitedly awaiting to  sew for the connoisseur of fine clothing, couture ,is the art form of apparel sewing. Select ,Couture ,for your most special of occasions, for investment career wear that you can wear for decades, and for the rare luxury of owning finely hand crafted apparel. Couture, is tomorrow's collectible.
