This website was created for you to know, if your in need of a dressmaker, here I am. My dress making studio hours are by appointment only.  I do the actual sewing M-F. Consultations and fittings will usually be on Saturday mornings, by appointment. At that time you will need to bring your dress pattern, material, thread and the notions for what the dress calls for, ex.: zipper, button, laces etc.etc. And if there's a certain way you want your dress to be made, this is the time you can explain it to me.

You might say, why bother to have a dress made when I can just buy a ready-to-wear (RTW). Unlike cheap factory made apparel, custom clothing is very, very rare and unusual. Custom made clothing is hand made, one garment at a time, to fit your needs, tastes, and your individual body. Because each garment is totally unique, all the time needed to develop and produce a custom design affects the cost.Another thing RTW may not meet your needs.If you have your own distinct sense of style, if you are shorter, taller, smaller, or larger than average, if you have figure variations, or if you are fussy about quality, then have your garments made. You want a green wedding gown? You won't find one at your local Bridal Barn. Do you want an all silk gown instead of one that is silk on the outside and plastic on the inside? Read the fiber content labels and you'll be hard pressed to find one. Ready to wear garments may not have the original design, the quality materials and high end construction techniques, or the custom fit that you want and need.
